CALM is committed to serving the African people in need through vocational and pastoral training, providing stable environments for abandoned children, as well as providing for the basic needs of needy families and communities in distress. Our programs are a targeted effort to carry out the message of hope found in Jesus Christ.
Our strategies are designed to help the people become self-sufficient through these life-saving programs. In turn, CALM is able to empower people and build stronger communities.
New Hope Homes
Through New Hope Homes, CALM reaches out to the East African community to share the love of Christ by building homes that free orphans and abandoned children from poverty and despair.
Pastor Training
CALM understands the critical need to train pastors and church leadership in order to reach their communities for Christ. Most pastors in East Africa have less than a 6th grade education with no Biblical training.
Uplift a Family
Through monthly sponsorships, at-risk families are given the opportunity to live without the constant, daily worry of finding healthy food and adequate shelter…a burden that is all too familiar and too heavy to bear for the people of Rwanda.
Goats/Nets/Medical Cards
Something as simple as a goat can provide widows and teen-led families in need with milk, butter, cheese and meat; and they can even sell the offspring to provide income for their family to pay for other needs like medical coverage and education.
Vocational Skills Training
CALM has the opportunity to transform communities through ministry efforts such as Uplift a Family and creating local vocational centers.
